Nabhasa Sankhya Yogas
Nabhasa Sankhya yogas are seven yogas formed when the visible grahas (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn) occupy 1 through 7 different signs. Rahu and Ketu are not included. These are Vallaki or Veena (7), Dharma (6), Pasha (5), Kedara (4), Shula (3), Yuga (2), and Gola (1). If the visible grahas occupy more than three signs it is good. If the visible grahas occupy three, two, or one sign it is bad.
Nabhasa yogas, in general, represent pattern of grahas in the sky. There are four groups of these yogas – Asraya (3), Dala (2), Akriti (20), and Sankhya (7). In this blog we look at Nabhasa Sankhya yogas.
The Sankya yogas are very generic and most charts will have the visible planets in 4 or 5 signs. Hence they are not given much importance. It is rare to have all visible grahas in one or two signs.
# of signs occupied | Name of the Yoga | Results |
---|---|---|
7 | Vallaki or Veena | Wealthy and fond of music and dance |
6 | Dharma | Generous and king like |
5 | Pasha | Wealthy, has good conduct, and enjoys life |
4 | Kendra | Acquires wealth and lands |
3 | Shula | Poor and of violent disposition |
2 | Yuga | Heretical and without wealth |
1 | Gola | Sinful and without wealth |
Note: if you have many grahas in few signs, this increases the probability of having yogas that are formed because of conjunction of planets. These yogas could cancel the detrimental effects of the yogas in this blog, especially if the cluster of grahas is in Kendra (1,4,7,10) or Trikona (1,5,9) houses.
For example, Steve Jobs – Vallaki/Veena yoga
For Example, Queen Elizabeth II – Dharma yoga
Queen Elizabeth I – Pasha yoga
Franklin Roosevelt – Kedara yoga
Adolf Hitler – Shula yoga
