Conditions for Pulippani Thaarai Yogam

Pulippani Thaarai yogam forms with the Moon and Venus. There are three possible placements of these two grahas.

• Venus is in the fourth house from the Moon or
• Moon is in the fourth house from Venus or
• Venus and Moon are together in the fourth house from the ascendant (lagna)

As always for a yogam to be strong, we want the participants to be strong. By this principle, Moon should be a waxing Moon with primary strength and Venus should also have primary strength.

Mars and the sixth house signify accidents in a chart. Mars is the karaka for accidents. Saturn is the lord of the 6th house. So, that also makes sense. Rahu’s contribution is not immediately obvious.
